Lisbon – Day 2

Day 2: CHIADO

1. Have breakfast at Tartine or Royal Cafe at Chiado

2. Have Pasteis at Manteigaria. There is usually a queue lining up to get the freshest cream custard tart batch

3. See the oldest library Bartrand

4. Visit the São Roque Church, one of the few buildings in Lisbon that survived the 1755 earthquake

5.  Bertrand BookStore - World's oldest bookstore founded in 1972. Notice Guiness Record Plaque at the door

6. Have "bica"= coffee in slang at Cafe Brasilera (listed as one of the 14 places you must have coffee before you die) near one of the famous landmarks: the statue of poet

7. Largo de Chiado - Baroque/Rococo Church, fantastic

8. Rooftop views/cocktails: Topo Chiado and take a perfect picture of "Elevator Santa Justa.

9.Tons of shopping everywhere. If you are a museum person, then there is the Modern Museum of Chiado.

10. Make sure to make a reservation at "Chiado Palace" which is a restaurant/lounge now for dinner/drinks ahead of time. Spectacular setting, each room is different for dining or drinks: https://palaciochiado.pt/en/

11. Alternatively - "By The Wine" is another that made the most beautiful bars list. Try that.
