Splitting her time between Los Angeles, London, and Lisbon, Filiz and her family have embraced a truly international lifestyle. With over 20 years of experience, Maria Goncalves is a highly respected lawyer and legal advisor specializing in Civil Law, Real Estate Law, Investments, Commercial & Corporate Law, and Immigration Law. Based in Cascais, Lisbon, her law office has been a trusted resource for both locals and international clients, providing expert legal services with a client-focused approach.
Maria earned her Law degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Coimbra in 1991 and has been registered with the Portuguese Bar Association since 1993. She furthered her expertise with a postgraduate degree in Legal Advice to Companies from Instituto Superior de Gestão in 1996 and advanced training in Corporate, Finance, Banking, and International Litigation & Arbitration at the Summer School of Cornell Law School/Université de Paris in 1997.
Fluent in Portuguese, English, and French, Maria is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses navigate Portugal’s legal landscape with confidence. With a deep curiosity for the world, he has seamlessly blended family, work, and adventure, creating a lifestyle that embraces discovery and global experiences.
An avid traveler, Brad has explored more than 70 countries and is well on his way to reaching 100 and beyond. His passions extend beyond technology—he has a keen interest in world history, filmmaking, diving, skydiving, motorcycling, and exploring museums. More than anything, he enjoys sharing experiences, cultures, and adventures with great company.
Fluent in English, German, Turkish, and Persian, Brad embraces a truly global lifestyle, splitting his time between Los Angeles, London, and Lisbon with his wife and daughter.
